Diploma in Sales and / or Account Management - Level 5 Study Centre: South West Centre Building on your existing knowledge and experience this qualification considers the Sales and Account Manager roles and the responsibilites you have as a leader for selecting, recruiting and ensuring high performance from your sales team. You will also gain an understanding of how to use marketing to understand your relationship with your customers and how to satisfy, plan and develop sales and marketing strategies to support their needs effectively and profitably through the sales process. Who is it for? This course is designed specifically for practising or aspiring Sales or Account Managers who would like to build on their theoretical knowledge to a senior level. Entry requirements There are no formal entry requirements although we advise that students have either a degree or at least 4 years sales experience. If English is not your first language, evidence of at least IELTS level 6.5 or Trinity ISE III/IV will also be required. Where can you study? We are currently offering the Diploma in either Sales or Account Management and the combined Diploma in Sales and Account Management at the following study centres. •London Centre •Northern Centre (Leeds). •South West Centre (Exeter) How long will it take? You can start to study at any time, both the Diploma in Sales Management and the Diploma in Account Managementcan will typically take between 12 ��" 18 months and the combined Diploma will usually take between 15 - 20 months to complete. Whichever option you choose, you can choose to study at a faster or slower pace to suit your requirements and we commit ourselves to support all our students for up to a maximum of two years. What you will study o Account Management Principles and Practice You will learn about marketing satisfying buyer needs and practicalities of account management and planning as well as benchmarking for best practice. o Sales Management and Leadership You will investigate best practice in selection, recruitment and retention, coaching for improvement and consider leadership styles in management including how to build quality teams through performance measurement, confidence building & motivation, and team development. You will also learn how to prepare and present proposals and quotations to customers for the supply of products and services. o Account Management and Sales Management You will examine the relationship between the salesperson and the customer and consider the application of different sales models in developing a relationship selling approach especially through an analysis of buyer behaviour and establishing the most profitable means of planning and organising sales activities and teams. You will also evaluate the ethical issues and legislation in sales and marketing, look at change management and the importance and methods involved in making decisions and resolve problems rapidly. o Marketing for Account Managers and Sales Managers You will examine the relationship between sales and marketing and how to develop appropriate strategies. Having completed the study programme you will be able to manage your continuous personal and professional development, evaluate organisational orientation and the integrated role, function and structure of sales and marketing and identify the challenges facing non-marketing organisations as well as put together a marketing strategy. o Investigative Project This module is designed to assess learning across all previous modules allowing you to assimilate all your studies by undertaking a work-based project to deal with a problem or issue facing your organisation.
